Microblading is a semi-permanent brow technique that creates fine, hair-like strokes that blend with your natural brows. It fills sparse areas, balances shape and symmetry, and gives you defined brows without daily makeup.

Microblading, nano brows, powder brows or combo brows?
All four are semi-permanent brow tattoos. The difference is how the pigment is placed and which skin type heals best.

What happens at your appointment
- Consultation – we discuss your face shape, skin type, colour and the look you want.
- Brow mapping – Tara measures and draws the shape for your approval before any pigment is used.
- Numbing – topical anaesthetic for comfort.
- Microblading – fine strokes are placed by hand, matched to your natural hair direction and colour.
- Aftercare – you leave with written aftercare instructions.
A perfecting touch-up is recommended about 6–8 weeks later, once the skin has fully healed. Touch-up: $80 CAD.
Microblading healing timeline
- Days 1–3: brows look darker and sharper than the final result.
- Days 5–10: light flaking and itching – do not pick.
- Weeks 2–4: strokes may look faded (“ghosting”) as the skin regenerates.
- Weeks 4–6: the true healed colour appears.

Aftercare
- Keep brows dry and clean for the first 7–10 days; avoid sweating, swimming, saunas and steam.
- Do not pick or scratch flakes.
- No makeup, retinol or acids on the brow area during healing.
- Protect healed brows from sun with SPF to keep colour longer.

Can I get microblading if I have an old brow tattoo?
Often yes, but it depends on the colour and density of the old work. Send a clear photo of your brows by text to 604-724-9693 before booking so Tara can assess it.
Who should not get microblading?
Microblading is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, while taking Accutane (isotretinoin) or blood thinners, or with active skin conditions on the brow area. If you have a medical condition, check with your doctor first.
What is the difference between microblading and nano brows?
Microblading strokes are made by hand with a fine blade. Nano brows create similar hair strokes with a fine needle and machine, which is usually gentler on the skin and can suit more skin types. Both are $350 at Tara Beauty Studio, with an $80 touch-up 6–8 weeks later. Tara will recommend the right one at your consultation.
What are combo brows?
Combo brows combine microblading hair strokes at the front of the brow with soft powder shading through the body and tail. They suit clients who want natural texture with a little more definition. Tara will tell you at your consultation whether combo brows are right for your skin.
Do you offer consultations in Farsi?
